Jeopardy! to Feature 9/11 Memorial Museum
The game show Jeopardy! will include the 9/11 Memorial and Museum and the events before and after September 11, 2001 as a category on its Thursday, January 29 episode.
The show made the announcement on its Tumblr blog this morning. Game show host Alex Trebek wrote in the blog post that he personally suggested the category to Jeopardy! producers after being given a tour of the museum with his son last summer.
Trebek returned to the museum last August to videotape the category.
He writes on the Tumblr post, “While one Jeopardy! category cannot do justice to all that is memorialized in the September 11 Memorial & Museum, we hope that it inspires you to perhaps visit it when you are next in New York City. It is a moving experience that will not be soon forgotten.”

A Look at the Museum’s Memorial Hall
“No Day Shall Erase You From the Memory of Time.” This quote from Book IX of "The Aeneid" by the Roman poet Virgil suggests the transformative potential of remembrance and is indicative of the museum’s mission to honor and remember the victims of the attacks of September 11, 2001 and February 26, 1993. Each letter was forged from pieces of recovered World Trade Center steel by New Mexico artist Tom Joyce.
