9/11 Memorial to Launch Virtual Tours
9/11 Memorial to Launch Virtual Tours
This past weekend, the 9/11 Memorial reopened to the public after being closed since March 13 because of the COVID-19 pandemic. While state and federal guidelines prohibit group tours, we are offering Virtual 9/11 Memorial Tours every morning beginning Thursday, July 9, 2020. Age-appropriate Virtual Memorial Tours for Families will be offered Tuesday to Saturday through the summer.
Each live virtual tour will take place before the Memorial opens to the public, providing exclusive access to virtual tour participants, and will be led by Museum staff using Zoom. During a tour, you will take in panoramic views of the rebuilt World Trade Center as you discover the meaning behind the 9/11 Memorial, the history of 9/11, and the powerful story of how people selflessly responded in the aftermath of the attacks.
While the 9/11 Memorial has reopened, the accompanying 9/11 Memorial Museum remains closed. Plans to resume operations for the Museum are underway and more information will be made available soon.
Tours will be given in English; captioning and ASL interpretation will be available upon request. Book a tour today.
