Financial & Legal Information

Our institutional achievements through 2023 have been made possible by the many visitors, donors, program participants, and partners that power our mission to commemorate, educate, and inspire, including:

  • More than 72 million people who visited the Memorial from across the U.S. and around the world since its dedication on September 11, 2011.
  • Over 22 million people who visited the Museum since it opened to the public in May 2014.
  • The many 9/11 family members, rescue and recovery workers, survivors, lower Manhattan residents, and others directly affected by 9/11 who help guide our work and support the growth of the Museum's collection.
  • Our thousands of Museum Members, Corporate Members, Museum Sustainers, and supporters of our annual 5K Run/Walk, Benefit Dinner, and Summit on Security, as well as public funding partners, who sustain our operations and programs.
  • The millions of students, teachers, professionals, and members of the 9/11 community who take part in our education, professional, and public programs.  
  • The local businesses and many area organizations that make lower Manhattan a world-class destination for those who live, work, and visit New York City.

Transparency in Coverage

The Transparency in Coverage Final Rules require certain group health plans to disclose on a public website information regarding in-network provider rates and historical out-of-network allowed amounts and billed charges for covered items and services in two separate machine-readable files (MRFs). The MRFs for the benefit package options under the the National September 11 Memorial & Museum Health Plan are linked here.
