Help Build a Special Exhibition for Sept. 11 Victims

We are grateful and honored that so many of you have already contributed materials to the 9/11 Memorial Museum for "In Memoriam," a memorial exhibition honoring the lives of the 2,983 victims. We are still actively seeking recorded remembrances, as well as a portrait photograph of your loved one, additional photos, and small mementos to help us tell the personal story of each victim.

With the help of our partner organization, StoryCorps, we will be visiting the Los Angeles and San Diego areas between Dec. 8 to Dec. 11. If you have not yet recorded a remembrance of your loved one or have a story that you'd like to share with us while we are in California, please call (212) 312-8785 to schedule an appointment.  Also, if you are in the New York area and have not yet participated, there are still recording slots available on the second Friday of every month at the StoryCorps booth in Foley Square. Our next recording day is Dec. 9. These dates fill quickly, so please reach out to us to learn more and to schedule an appointment.  

When you come to record your oral history, we also encourage you to bring a preferred portrait photograph of your loved one, three to five snapshot photos, and other small mementos that you would like to be included in the "In Memoriam" exhibition.

We remain tremendously grateful to everyone who has already shared memories and mementoes of their loves ones, and look forward to seeing many of you in California or New York in the coming months.
