Flight attendant CeeCee Lyles began her career as a police officer in Florida before turning to the airline industry to satisfy her love of travel. The morning of 9/11, as a flight attendant on Flight 93, the skills she mastered in law enforcement - most notably the ability to remain calm in crisis - likely saved hundreds on the ground.

A glass plaque from the Sino-American Friendship Folk Museum in Hangzhou, Zhejiang, People’s Republic of China, has made its way halfway around the world and arrived as a gift to the Museum commemorating the 20th anniversary of 9/11. Inscribed on it is a Chinese poem paying homage to the resilience and spirit of New Yorkers and the American people as a whole in response to the attacks.
