A plane crashes. People flee,
A sad moment for a date in history.
Plumes of smoke, as a building
Goes up in flames
The pilot dead,
Will never take the blame.
A second plane comes,
Into the second building it goes.
And people watching the TV,
Start to forget their own woes.
Some people stand and stare,
As some people run,
And some watch,
As the newscasters quickly come.
Inside the buildings,
Some are already dead.
The handicapped ask for help,
Knowing it may not come.
Others running to the exits,
Passing them by.
Making a quick choice,
Whether to try to live,
Or help and die.
Firemen come,
Though it is already to late.
To see only the disaster.
Try as they might,
The Twin Towers fall,
And give us all a big fright.
What will come next?
Why did it happen to us?
The president steps up,
And says his speech,
But it will not bring back,
The loved ones, which we lost.
We know in our hearts,
That we will never forget,
The Twin Towers fall,
It has put a mark on us all.
