I met Dennis Pogan while he was working security at the September 11 National Memorial and Museum in March of 2012. What an affable and amazing person he is! He shared his story about the attack on the Twin Towers and the friends and team members he lost that day (He was on duty at the base of one of the Towers that morning). He showed me the names of those he lost, etched into one of the memorial fountains, and spoke with me about his faith in God. Now retired, he works security at the Memorial, daily paying his respects to the victims and their loved ones, while continuing to "protect and serve." He is an American Hero! I am honored to dedicate this song to Dennis, and equally honored to consider him a friend and brother.
