My name is Dennis Genovese. I was born and raised in Greenwich Village. In 1969, I drove a cement mixer for Transit Mix Concrete Corp. We delivered concrete to the original Twin Towers from beginning to end, 1969 thru 1976. After watching the 911 French film documentary I was driven to write this song honoring the FDNY and all the other heroes who gave their lives so courageously, and for the loved ones they left behind. It speaks to the heroism of those who were lost, and to the never ending tragedy of their surviving families.
