After the terrorist attack that occurred on September 11, 2001, I felt the need to respond artistically. Art is the best way for me to process emotions, and as the wife of a firefighter, and a human in general, I felt the need to commit those emotions to canvas. The painting depicts an angel of freedom carrying the lost souls from that day (in the shape of the World Trade Center) skyward to Heaven.
