This piece is a mixed media. The underpainting is a collage of the newspaper articles from 911. It is painted over with acrylic paint rubbed to created a "burned" flag. The stars appear to be crying blood by dripped red paint. In the center of the painting the word "WHY" is subtly painted in capital letters. It is not meant to be beautiful but it is meant to create a response.
