Updated: By midnight tonight, the 9/11 Memorial will official close the Friends Memorial Facebook account. We've valued the Friends Memorial community and ask you to continue the conversation at the new National September 11 Memorial & Museum page.  To join, all you have to do is "like" the new page at National September 11 Memorial and Museum.

Here's what you can expect from the new page:

  • Up-to-the-minute information on the 9/11 Memorial's opening for families on the tenth anniversary on Sept. 11, 2011.
  • Answers to important questions about visiting the Memorial when it opens to the public on Sept. 12, 2011.
  • Connect with our Twitter feeds and The MEMO blog posts all from one page.
  • Share photos, renderings and video of the 9/11 Memorial and the 9/11 Memorial Museum, which opens in 2012.
  • Receive invites to special events and public programming.
