Pearl Harbor, The Kennedy Assassination, the Moon landing: these are among the iconic events in history that cause us to remember exactly where we were at the time.

The September 11, 2001 attacks certainly fall into this category. In respectful remembrance of the 10th anniversary, we ask you to place a marker on the map signifying where you were on that fateful day.

National Geographic has created a Facebook application called "Remembering 9/11, Where Were You?" that allows users to pinpoint on a map their exact location when they heard the horrific news and share their personal story with the world.

Once finished, you can post your story, or any other story, to your Facebook wall.
