Iran is a pivotal power player in the Middle East, uniquely positioned to exert influence throughout the region. And yet, many of its policies run counter to U.S. interests and threaten to further destabilize the region. Karim Sadjadpour of the Carnegie Endowment for International Peace discusses the situation in Iran and its impact on American national security and foreign policy.
