Numquam exstinguetur  mundo  terroris imago

horruimus fauces  terribiles odii

Quae furia altera concutiet nos collabefactos?

Quae ratio ultima erit - nulla salus furiae?

Numquam indulgendum est nobis terroribus istis

Semper tot memores  interitus hominum

English translation:

Never shall the image of terror be extinguished from the world.

We stared with horror into the terrible jaws of hatred.

What madness shook us to our foundations? 

What other fury will strike us to the ground?

Where will it lead in the last resort?

Can nothing save us from this rage?

Never must we yield to that terror.

That much we owe to the memories  

 of those who suffered such destruction.

German translation:

Niemals wird auf der Welt ausgelöscht werden

das Bild des Terrors. Erschaudernd blickten wir

 in den schrecklichen Rachen des Hasses

Ein Wahnsinn hat uns ins Wanken gebracht

Welch weiterer wird uns erschüttern?

Was wird das letzte Mittel sein?

Gibt es keine Rettung vor dieser Furie?

Niemals dürfen wir diesem Terror nachgeben

Immer werden wir des Todes

so vieler Menschen gedenken.
