This painting was created immediately following the trade center's fall in order to process witnessing of the events. In this painting the buildings extend infinitely to the red sky, their presence unstable, torn at the edge, vanishing through atmosphere. The roofline of brooklyn grounds the base of the two teetering towers, which appear almost as a construction site that's completed at the top and unfinished at the foundation, adding to the impression of instability. This painting is the last in the series.
