Remember 9/11?
I know you do
It seemed like just yesterday
But really it’s been five years
Five years of fear, war, and the uniting of a country
One country, our country united that tragic day
Though half stared unbelieving
While half ran in fear
Remember 9/11?
I know many do
Those brave rescuers
The people who were there
It was unbelievable
We wondered why us
Why not another country
Remember 9/11?
I know I do
As I sat there in class
Unaware of the tragedy
The tragedy that was unfolding in my country
It was all over the news
The World Trade Centers gone
The Pentagon crushed
And one lonely Pennsylvania field destroyed
