Description

Classical Guitarist Daniel Quinn recorded live at the Toledo Museum of Art in 2006 performing Requiem 9/11 by Kazu Munakata. This work was composed for Daniel and is a memorial to the victims of the 9/11 attacks in New York City.
Kazu Munakata was living in Tokyo during the fire bombing of that city in World War II, and had vivid memories of the hopeless feelings of despair as he tried to help put out the fires with a little hand pump and a bucket of water. He had the same feelings again as he watched the events of 9/11 unfold on television.
