Much time has passed
So says the stars
But to these watchers
It stands still
By such cold acts
Hands froze in place
How can we help
But to with these words
Cradle tears on weighted face
And with them call
Beyond arms reach
To every nation great and small
To shine their love
Where hope has ceased
And thereby see
Hate’s glory fall
So upon your hallowed grounds
Never meant to sacred be
We inscribe this solemn oath
To use what we request of the
May we:
Through your shattered glass see clearly
By mangled stairway rise above
With injured joints heal together
As bones broken into one
May we in your vacant sky
Fly a flag of peace in store
And may all nations build one floor
To with your rubble
Bury war
