Rise-September 12th, 2001 was written in the early hours of day after the Twin Towers were attacked, but not recorded until 2010. As a singer/songwriter, it was the only way I knew how to process the events of the terrible day my beloved city and country were attacked. It represents my immediate, spontaneous reaction to that event, and thoroughly expresses the grief and uncertainty I felt at the time.
