He gave 16 people the courage to stay alive in the rubble.

He worked to put up obstacles for workers.

Many workers say they were held up by traffic.

There he was.

We may never forget what happened that day,

but God was there to save as many as 2,300 lives.

The hero's here aren't just the rescue workers but the civilians who gave their time for others.
