Description

This is the first concrete sculpture San created for 9/11, standing inside. This was created as a transforming experience sculpture. As each person walks through, they view the story of the sign art showing everyday street signs representing 'planes, towers, react and rebuild'. They then come out the other side with a different perspective and a much more organized thought pattern of what happened on that day. San showcased this at the World of Concrete in Las Vegas in 2007 and it generated positive response and many stories of 9/11. San became a sounding stone for many who felt compelled to tell her their stories. This first sculpture led the path to finding the concrete blocks she now has to complete the Project 11up body of work.

THIS SCULPTURE SITS IN A SMALL TOWN IN MOAPA, NEVADA, just outside of Las Vegas. San is currently seeking a larger city to showcase this piece.
