It’s all pretty much the same
Graves in fill rescuers ill
And no one feels ashamed

To ensure we never fall victim again
Usama we’re told, is still in control
But hey… we got Saddam Hussein

Five years past, and it will never make sense
Why nearly three thousand people have died
Or why heroes to many, courage of few
Never returned to our side

It’s been five years since, Ground Zero remains an abyss
The skyline still mourns for her towers
And the crater that was left, dwarfs in contrast
The void that remains in my heart
