"Many Thousands Gone" is an interactive sculpture in which people drive nails as a prayer, a vow, or a blessing in remembrance of an individual or an event in which their was the willful violation of another being. I am proposing that it be installed temporarily near "ground zero" in Manhattan this fall for the tenth anniversary of the attack there.
