Experiencing the events of September eleventh reminded me that the most valuable things in this life are our connections to loved ones. In this picture, I blocked out the outside world with the window shade, and brought the universe into the bedroom via the star and galaxy pattern of the quilt. We can shut out the outside world when we need to, and can imagine a place where all is calm, peaceful, and safe. This is the place where we feel most at home.
