This was a drawing my Lutheran pastor father, James Otterness, did for his book on Revelation. The title of the book is "The Last Days An Inductive Study of the Revelation of Jesus Christ to John." The book was completed in 1994. On 9/11 I was watching TV and saw an image of NYC from across the harbor with a great plume of smoke going off to the right. I asked myself "Where have I seen that before?" and was given a jolt when I realized it was in Dad's book on Revelation called "The Last Days." Ever since then, I have thought we were living in the end times. Dad was as wise and insightful as anyone I've ever known. He died in March and was 87. I had always told him I thought he would get famous for this drawing.

The other two buildings in the drawing are the UN building and the Empire State building.
