Central High School students in Jean Kunath's art Classes worked 2 weeks prior to the tenth anniversary of 9/11. A painted collage was created to commemorate the losses in New York, the Pentagon, and Shanksville Pennsylvania. Upon completion of the painting, students took turns writing the names of the individuals who lost their lives. A separate bulletin board was created to honor the firefighters who lost their lives while responding to the tragic event. The fireman painting was created by Erica Newton from a photo of 3 firemen from New York. The names of the deceased are found on the maltese cross.
