Last view.
The photo, which was the motive of this painting, I shot from the observer plattform, while I stood behind the large windows. It was one day before the attacks . I had a clear sight over whole Manhattan at this wonderful day in summer. The Brooklyn Bridge and the Manhattan Bridge are streching over the river. Nobody could imagine that there would be an attack against the buildings at the next day. But the attacks had been planed. In the painting the date of the desaster is seeing as a symbol over the city. It is written in threatening red numbers. Even at this day the Fire Department was in stand-by and was waiting for missions. The next day would bring a fire to them, which would get out of controll. And the terrible fact is, that people who would stand at this place at the next day could not be saved. Often this fact run through my mind. One day later nothing would be the same
