This is a painting in memory of Bill Dimmling who lost his life on Sept 11th in New York. He was an executive in a USA Company and had established the company offices in Dublin Ireland.

He was a very special human being and many who knew him vowed to plan their own lives on his example. In the painting the foetus represents this fact and that Bill Dimmling will be born again through those who live their lives to be the kind of person that he was.

The ladder to the left of the image represents the idea that this soul would have stopped on his own journey to pick up those unable to make the journey on their own.

The painting won an Ireland wide competition to create a painting in memory of this fine man.

In the original painting the colours are deep and transparent.
