I woke up one morning with this song in my head, shortly after we entered Afghanistan. I was very proud of how we had finally come together as a country after many years of not getting along very well. We were "one" again. I went straight to my home studio to write the lyrics and melody.

The following week, my brother Dale came over to record the song. He sat down at the keyboard and after only listening to the melody one time, proceeded to write the music and arrangements. This is our effort from that night and we hope it is an inspiration to all that remember that day.
