I live just north of the site. I was out of town on 9/11. A friend told me there had been an accident in my part of the world. He said, 2 planes just flew into the WTC. That’s no accident, I said.

I live three blocks from the site. Welcome to my Neighborhood is a reflection on the World Trade Center site and the events of 9/11 for everyone who is grappling with its meaning. It includes photographic images taken at and around the site in the summer of 2011 and text from my conversations with visitors to the site. I wanted to find out why Americans and foreigners come to the site which has become a major tourist attraction and what they think about when they're there.
