This sculpture has been placed in Salt Lake City, Utah on the grounds of the Fort Douglas National Military Museum. Raette Belcher commissioned this piece from San and built an entire parklike setting around it. It is known as the Utah Fallen Warriors Memorial. It is dedicated to all the fallen soldiers and their Gold Star Families who are their survivors. A Blue Star family has a loved who who is serving in active duty, a Silver Star family has a family member who has been injured and a Gold Star Family is one that has had a family member died while serving. Governor Herbert was present for its dedication ceremony on October 21, 2013, including San, Project 11up members, all the folks who build the park, Gold Star Families from Utah, the ROTC from the University of Utah and many citizens. This sculpture was finally completed in June of 2015 with final sealing done on site.
