I Love New York, an Original Oil by renowned artist Ruth Mayer was painted and unveiled in New York at the International Art Expo in March of 2000, a year and a half prior to the tragedy on September 11. The painting was originally conceived to commemorate the start of the new millennium but suddenly became a beacon of hope and comfort to many around the globe. Reason for this being If examined closely one can see an Angelic figure watching over the Twin Towers with arms outstretched embracing the New York skyline. Ruth Mayer in turn has made it a goal to one day see the painting on display in the 9/11 Memorial Museum for all to enjoy.
