Description

This painting "Awakenings" was created before September 11, 2001. It was started on August 28, 2001 and finished on September 6, 2001. It is a personal tribute by the Artist as a way to Honor all the Men and Women from all Police and Fire Department's and all Hero's who helped out anyone at such a great time of need. After finishing the painting on September 6, 2001, two days later on September 8, 2001, the painting was brought to Swain's Gallery in Plainfield, New Jersey for Professional Framing. The painting was not in my possession from September 8, 2001 until September 19, 2001 when I received it back from Swain's Gallery. The painting is a very vivid surrealistic Iridescent Holographic Blue Skyline of Lower Manhattan. My focal point was of the Twin Towers, the Hudson River, and the Skyline in the Clouds. I also focused on the Hudson River and what was underneath the water. The view of this painting was looking at Manhattan from the New Jersey side of the Hudson River. The Twin Towers were painted in an Iridescent Blue Acrylic Holographic Paint. The background was also painted in an Iridescent Green and Orange Holographic paint surrounding Lower Manhattan. The clouds were painted a Stainless Steel Paint with an Iridescent Pearl overtone. The clouds also matched the same Iridescent Holographic Blue paint as the building's themselves. The skyline was painted as a morning scene with a Deep Yellow Sunrise and it's reflection in the Hudson River, bringing all the colors in which I used in the painting. The painting titled "Awakenings" was painted with Acrylic Paint, Glue and other Liquitex Acrylic Gel Mediums with an array of Iridescent Acrylic Holographic Colors. My painting is now a personal tribute for all fallen Hero's and all 9/11 First Responder's who sacrificed so much in such a time of need. After completing the original I made fully Highlighted 18"x 24" reproduction's on canvas transfers, repainted them over with all Texture Gels, Mediums, and Iridescent Acrylic Holographic Colors in precious detail as the original on canvas. My life long goal is to sell reproduction's of my painting and donate 50% directly to the Feel Good Foundation and to 9/11 First Responder's to help them with all the health disorder's and other medical issues that they have had. They gave up so much at such a time of need for so many other's safety. It would be a great donation process from such a powerful and meaningful painting to help so many who still have medical needs. That has been my personal Dream to help these grateful individuals in any Time of need.
