I had to find a way to work out of the astonishing grief of what had happened in our city. By chance, I began to photograph the logos featuring the Twin Towers in the days following the catastrophe. I continued to record them for five years as I saw them on passing trucks, billboards, store signs and more ephemeral things. As many logos were redesigned or businesses with the Towers in their logos disappeared, it felt as though connections to this part of the city
