Fidel, a Good Dog Foundation therapy dog, won honorable mention in the American Kennel Club's Awards for Canine Excellence in 2002, the ASPCA "Trooper" award and was one of three honored by the American Red Cross for outstanding service as a therapy dog in serving those affected by the 9/11 World Trade Center Tragedy - making over 9 visits to Ground Zero.
