This work is a 5 panel sequence using brick and morter building board as ground, painted with applied construction site brown and rosin papers, sanded surface to depict destruction and debris, with charcoal drawing applied to depict the horror of the attack and subsequent destruction.
I am 62, and have lived through hiding under my desk at school in the 50's and 60's, in the Navy during the Vietnam War (left Art school to join), and watched in horor on ABC news as the second plane hit. As a project piece for a local juried art show, I produced this work in 2007.
