It was September 11th, 2001,
and second period at school was almost done.
What we saw that day on the TV
would change the lives of you and me.
Classes got canceled,
we just stood around and cried.
Wondering who would do this,
and more so wondering why.
We went home to our families,
and held each other tight,
with NBC instead of MTV,
afraid of the coming night.
Now our nation has took action
against those hateful souls
who don't give a damn about who dies,
As long as they're in control.
Some people may not like it,
they may say that we're too hard,
but if we didn't stop them,
then they would have gone too far.
So tell your mom and dad you love them,
no matter what you may say,
because your very lucky,
that they didn't die that day.
