Description

The title of this piece is how we worked on our project. Students remembered September 11th, 2001, by sharing personal memories about that day. Although many of them were quite young at the time, several had vivid recollections of the events and the affect it had on their family. We reflected on how people felt when they saw what was happening in New York, Washington and Pennsylvania that early September morning. We wrote a list of emotions and how some of those emotions may have evolved in the past 10 years. For example, anger to resolve, sorrow to hope. Considering the emotional aspects of 9-11 and now the 10th anniversary of that day, students created a drawing to honor those that were taken and in the days since on Foreign soil. Looking through the window of Liberty, we remember, reflect on, and honor those that have given their lives in the pursuit of freedom for the United States and the world.
