I took this photograph on September 11, 2011 (10th anniversary). Most of the day had been filled with sadness and tears as I remembered those that lost their lives. It's as if God cried the blues as well because it rained most of the day. However, the rain eventually stopped and the sun managed to come out. I happened to look out into the sky and saw the most vivid and vibrant rainbow I had ever seen. Despite the sadness and tears, I was able to look at it with some sense of hope as a sense of peace came over me. God provided me with a symbol of hope that day and for that I am thankful.
