Description

"In this sculpture I was attempting to show how the incredible courage is displayed by this medic who was retrieving a wounded soldier from a battlefield. All of my sculptures are created individually. They are original, unique and one-of-a-kind. The process starts by welding metal wire armature from the inside out to form the shape. It is then pieced together by fabrication of metal. The sculpture is then sanded, grinded and polished to create the enormous detail of the sculpture. The final step is a heavy coating of clear powder that is baked to seal the steel from air to prevent any type of oxidation. The texture and detail I create attempts to ensure movement in my work to capture a moment in ones' time or experiences."
