    They Will Rise Again
My painting is an idealistic and optimistic view of my impression of our cherished city of New York.

    Resume

    Biography:

My parents were born in Russia (a part of the Soviet Union at that time). My mother became a U.S. citizen. She was a soprano, and did painting and sculpture as well. My father died when I was eight years old. I am a U.S. citizen also and very proud to be one.

I won a scholarship for art to the American Art School (Affiliate of the Art Students League of New York). I worked for Air France Airlines for many years and I was also honorary chancellor at a consulate in my late teen years. I am also a linguist and am fluent in English, French, Spanish, Portuguese, Italian, German, and Russian. Some of my hobbies include writing and classical dancing, and I have received copyrights for some of my literary pieces.

Having lived in New York for a large portion of my life, I was heartbroken and shattered by the events of September 11th, 2001, but I hope that this painting can bring hope and light to people everywhere.
