    Statement of Work

I moved to New York in October of 1999 and lived in Astoria, Queens for two years. I started work at Corbis, Inc (a stock photography archive) in January of 2000. I worked 90 blocks from the World Trade Center in 2001.

I kept a file of downloaded scientific information from the internet (print outs from the world-wide-web to read on the sub way to and from work). The subjects range from Non-Locality and the Interpretation of Quantum Mechanics, Mathematical Chaos Theory and Fractal Geometry and Space Astronomy and Astrophysics, pictures from the photographic archive and other things. I kept these documents in a plain manila folder in my desk drawer. On September 10, 2001, I was at my corner desk at around 6-6:30pm waiting to go home. Someone had left a ergonomic translucent carry-all pencil holder on my desk a few weeks prior. I was listening to Bob Marley while I began to draw the pencil holder. When my rendering didn't turn out the way I wanted, I began to free associate doodle. I drew cubes with a sphere in between the cubes which could be conceived as a symbol for the World Trade Center Towers, and the Single arrows entering the cubes could be conceived as airplanes. On the opposite side of the folder where I drew the pencil holder which looks like a burning building you can see that IO drew an octagon which could be intrinsically akin to a pentagon.

I looked up the date on the computer, in order to mark the folder, but thought it wasn't important. I wrote the date in ink on September 12 and haven't altered it yet.
