People (friends, family, people in the community) have asked me if I have ever had fear at a fire. I have, of course, had a little, but usually, things happen so fast, that you don't think about it. Also, when you're with your brothers, you see that it doesn't faze them, then it dosen't faze you.
But, I'm sure the 343 firefighters, who lost their lives on 9/11/2001, had the time to think about what was happening and could probably see fear in their brothers faces. But, they still had the courage, to face the fear and carry on.
Not only were those firefighters carrying their tools, hose etc., up every step in the World Trade Center, they were also carrying their courage with them.
