    Statement of Work

"Scenes gathered from many places around the world" is how Philip Fusco describes his oil paintings. Though he studied art in High School in the 1940's where he received New York City's Alexander Art Medal, most of his art training came from his brother Nicholas. In 1973, he began "painting in earnest" when not involved in his career in engineering. A Fellow of the American Artists Professional League, he has exhibited at the prestigious Salmagundi Club in New York City. He has also exhibited at the Heckscher Museum, the Nassau Museum, SOHO's Art 54 Gallery and the Lever Gallery in New York City. He is also featured in various art galleries on Long Island. Many of his paintings are now reproduced into limited edition "Iris Giclee" prints.

The artist paints places that his heart remembers -- with a brush dipped in nostalgia.

His ambition -- is simply to reach as many people as possible with his art --
depicting life from a pleasant and almost envious viewpoint.
