Ida considers herself an impressionist painter and a people watcher. Her quick sketches involve a profound attachment to man in search for the meaning of man's reality in this world of turnmoil. Although she has a great interest in the sulture of antiquity of African and Oceanic peoples, her world is highly individual and lyrical. She does not adhere to the tradition of modern formulas, but is committed to the art of the world none the less.
