Writing poetry in response to 9/11 is my personal attempt to honor life for all its joys and sorrows, to celebrate the frailties of human nature, to offer another way to perceive the mundane, to refresh our minds, arouse, amuse and indemnify.

Most importantly, it is an artist's responsibility to honor those that have served, sacrificed and suffered. It is my hope that these small gifts are received and enjoyed by those that pause, reflect, honor and remember those we lost to the great tragedy of 9/11.
