Omaha and Los Angeles residents, Cher & Gene Klosner (KLOZE-ner), a sister-brother, singer-songwriter duo, originally from Omaha, Nebraska, have been performing their smooth, signature harmony-driven acoustic sound across the United States for many years. Their rich, intricate vocals have been described as "audible chocolate."

Performance/appearance highlights include World Youth Day, with Pope John Paul II, President Clinton and a half a million teens from around the world, the 2008 US Olympic Swim Trials (National Anthem), 2007-10 College World Series (National Anthem), The 2010 College Home Run Derby (National Anthem), The Grand Ole Opry, CNBC's "The Big Idea" with Donny Deutsch, American Magazine, City Tree Lighting Ceremony (2000-2006) Paramount, CA., the 6-city Autumn Festival and Spring Festival tours, and many 9/11 tribute events in New York and L.A. One special highlight was singing the national anthem before 80,000 people at Memorial Park in Omaha at Bank of the West Celebrates America 2010, just before Kansas, Styx and Foreigner took the stage.

In addition to their performances at festivals and colleges, Cher & Gene Klosner have been heard on radio stations, jingles, and on various television and animation projects produced by Cher's husband, Emmy-award-winning "The Simpsons" animator/Assistant Director, Ben Lane*. Their song "Please Don't Send Me Fruitcake," from their Christmas album, Ribbons and Pine, was featured on the nationally syndicated Dr. Demento radio show, and was recently recorded by The von Trapp Children, along with Cher's "All I'll Ask This Christmas." "Please Don't Send Me Fruitcake" has been performed by several symphonies, including the Omaha Symphony, Atlanta Symphony, Pacific Symphony, Toronto Symphony, Indianapolis Symphony, Minnesota Symphony, and the Cincinnati Symphony, conducted by the legendary Erich Kunzel.

Cher & Gene Klosner were commissioned by The United in Memory Foundation to compose a song for the unveiling of the United in Memory 9/11 Memorial Quilt, which took place aboard the Queen Mary in Long Beach, California. The resulting song, "Tower of Love," was also performed in New York on the second and third anniversaries of 9/11 at the opening ceremonies of the United in Memory 9/11 Memorial Quilt display. "Tower of Love" has since been used in many 9/11 memorial tributes.

While touring around the country during the week, Cher and Gene spent many Sundays visiting churches in whichever city they happened to be performing, introducing one of their side projects called Light the Fire!, a collection of contemporary liturgy/worship music. These visits inspired a sacred album, Sunday. Their series of liturgical music was launched nationally in 2007 and is now available at Light the Fire Music website.

Cher and Gene recently released their fourth CD, Stardust, a multiple award-winning, two-disc collection of lullabies for all ages, many of which were sung to them as children by their own mom, and that Cher now sings to her own little boy, Benjamin. Stardust features a veritable Who's Who list of musicians from the Midwest and L.A., including members of the Omaha Symphony, the Omaha Conservatory of Music and top shelf jazz players. Stardust is a winner of the following prestigious Awards: iParenting Media Awards "2008 Best Products - Audio," 2008 National Parenting Publications (NAPPA) Gold Award, NAPPA's "Best Bang for the Buck" Award, 2008 Parents' Choice Award, The Dove Foundation "Family-Approved" Seal, 2008 Creative Child Magazine "Preferred Choice" Award, TWO Children's Music Web Awards (Best Recording for Babies & Toddlers, and for Preschoolers), and 2008 Parents With Style Award, and is a recommended pick for purchase by the Los Angeles Public Library system. Cher and Gene are currently working on a series of animated DVDs for Stardust.

Cher & Gene Klosner are presently performing in the Midwest while recording a singer/songwriter collection and a second Christmas collection, featuring "I Am a Carpenter."
