Statement of Work
The images of September 11 2001--the falling and the fallen, that clear blue sky, the striped structure of the towers, the smoke and fire-- visually define the beginning of a new reality. I have hoped against all odds that some Phoenix we cannot even imagine might rise from these ashes. It is that hope that is the subject of my tapestry.

Pamela Gibson works in tapestry, oil, encaustic and mixed media. She is a graduate of Oregon College of Art and Craft with a BFA in Craft. She has shown in local, regional and national venues, and her work is found in collections both public and private. More information can be found on her website.
