    Resume

Noel McEwen grew up with a gift for drawing and painting.  Since he was young, he was passionate about what he wanted to do.  Mentored by the finest in the business, Noel began slim art professionally as a caricaturist at Silver Dollar City in Branson, Missouri.   From there, he also began painting t-shirts, designing and painting murals for theaters and restaurants, illustrating, and graphic designing.

Inspired by a drawing he did after 9/11 for his school paper, Noel painted this picture, his first-ever commission piece. It is a truly unique airbrush art. The work of artist Noel McEwen does indeed stir emotions. Little did Noel realize how profound what he put on paper would be today. The image relives reality- from buildings of the World Financial Center which stand today as visible from the Hudson, to the almost obscure skeletal remains in the center of the picture of one of the once proud twin towers of the World Trade Center, from the choking smoke and cloud of debris toxic as it winds through buildings and darkens sunlight, from the vibrant colors of The Star Spangled Banner the symbol of our great Nation, from the Torch of Freedom to the sadness in and on the face of Liberty, Noel sought to capture through his airbrush the feelings and emotions he experienced reflecting on September 11, 2001. It was also his vision to embody what we all felt - certainly a sense of silence, not knowing what to say and do. The work of Artist Noel McEwen does indeed stir emotions.
