I graduated Long Beach High School in 1956 as an art major. I finished my education at Fashion intstitue of Technology.
Raising seven children, I had very little time for my art work.
The morning of 9/11, I was at home when my daughter in law called and had me turn on the T.V.
It was the most devastating thing I'd had ever witnessed in my life. I could not move ! I watched the news in horror and with much grief.I mourned the loss of all those innocent lives.It was then that I started painting the photos that appeared in the news papers.
When I had finished making my memorial for those lost and all the many Heros. I created a collage for each of my children. I wanted them to remember what had happened.
Recently, when Bin Laden was killed it brought back these same strong feelings of grief and loss. I wanted to find a home for these paintings and thought of the 911 museum. If these can make a difference, I will feel honored for the museum to have the framed originals.
